The Ida is named after Ida B. Wells. Ida Bell Wells-Barnett was an African-American journalist, newspaper editor, suffragist, sociologist, feminist, Georgist, and an early leader in the Civil Rights Movement.

Our sandals are hand made in Kenya with rubber outer sole and leather insole. Should the footwear get wet, dry them in a cool place and not direct sunlight.
The Ida is an easy fit and works well with a larger ankle. There is elastic at the heel to secure the shoe to your foot. Fits true to size, but size up if in doubt.
