The Harriet is named after Harriet Tubman. Harriet Tubman was an American abolitionist, humanitarian, and an armed scout and spy for the United States Army during the American Civil War. Born into slavery, Tubman escaped and subsequently made many missions to rescue enslaved families and friends, using the network of antislavery activists and safe houses known as the Underground Railroad.
Our sandals are hand made in Kenya with rubber outer sole and leather insole. Should the footwear get wet, dry them in a cool place and not direct sunlight.
The Harriet fits true to size. The leather has a snug fit, but stretches to your foot over time. If in doubt, size up.
